On display in the venues of the events were photos showing Kim Jong Il's historic visit to the Siberian and Far Eastern regions of Russia and photos showing the glorious revolutionary careers and immortal feats of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu.

Also on display there were works of the peerlessly great persons, books introducing the advantages of Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses and art works associated with the wisdom and skills of the Korean people.

Present there were personages of various circles of the Amur Regional Government and Nakhodka City of the Maritime Territory of Russia, masses, DPRK delegations visiting Amur Region and staff members of the DPRK missions in Nakhodka and Khabarovsk Cities.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

An art performance was given by pupils of DPRK-Russia friendship Moranbong Secondary School No. 1 at an opening ceremony of the DPRK-Russia friendship cultural festival in Blagobeshensk City of Amur Region.

An event took place with splendor in Nakhodka City to mark the Day of Korean Culture.

An opening ceremony of the DPRK book, photo and handicraft exhibition was held at the folk museum of Amur Region while the DPRK mission in Khabarovsk hosted a reception.

Goreboi, minister for foreign economic ties, tourism and business of the Amur Regional Government, handed to the head of the DPRK delegation on a visit to Amur Region a letter presented to the dear respected Kim Jong Un by the governor of the region on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Kim Jong Il's visit to the Siberian and Far Eastern regions of the Russian Federation.
