Austrian Organization Opposes U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises

Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- The Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ATUF) sent letters to the U.S. and the south Korean ambassadors in Vienna on Aug. 20 in protest against the provocative Ulji Freedom Guardian (UFG) joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. and the south Korean warmongers against the DPRK. The letters said:

The ATUF Left Bloc denounces UFG for infringing upon the sovereignty of the DPRK and extremely straining the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. threatens the DPRK and, at the same time, brings dark clouds of a war in a bid to hold political and military hegemony on the whole Korean Peninsula, the letters noted.

They urged the U.S. to immediately stop its provocative war maneuvers, conclude a peace agreement with the DPRK and pull the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces out of south Korea at once.
