He went to President Kim Il Sung's birthplace at Mangyongdae and looked round historic relics, being briefed on the history of the house.

At the end of the visit, the chairman said that he visited the birthplace of the President whenever he visited the DPRK.

He noted that he had the honor of being received by the President several times.

"The smiling image of the President is always kept in my mind," he said, and went on:

"The President turned the DPRK into an invincible power and exalted the country's sovereignty and the nation's dignity. The new history of the Korean nation was possible thanks to the President.
