It was in recognition of the firm support and solidarity he has shown for the just cause of the Korean people for the building of a thriving socialist nation and national reunification and his contribution to boosting the friendly relations between the DPRK and Iran.

An awarding ceremony took place at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Friday.

Present there were Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, officials concerned and staff members of the Iranian embassy.
