He emphasized the strategic importance of the Korean Peninsula and called for "examining the capabilities of the U.S. forces in south Korea for containing the north". He even said that there is no change in the U.S. commitment to south Korea.

He visited not only units of the U.S. forces in south Korea but the joint security areas in Panmunjom and had a confab on war exercises with the commander and the deputy commander of the south Korea-U.S. "Combined Forces Command" and the commander of the U.S. 8th Army.

These dangerous actions remind one of the Seoul trip of warmonger Dulles just before the provocation of the Korean war in June 1950.

The Army secretary entered even an underground air raid commanding center to be used by the U.S. forces in south Korea in the wartime only. His trip was the field examination by a war chief before launching a war.

This also proved that Ulji Freedom Guardian (UFG) is not a simple military drill but a war rehearsal carefully planned under the supervision of the U.S. Administration and the Defense Department.

UFG is apparently the final abrogation of the Korean Armistice Agreement and a U.S. test war for launching the second Korean war.

All factors of UFG such as its codename, scale, program and the timeline have been carefully worked out by the U.S. warmongers aimed at a war and have been finally field-examined.

Moreover, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime directly linked the issue of transferring the wartime operational control to the on-going war rehearsal, calling the exercises "combined drills of new form in which the south Korean army spearheads the operations and the U.S. forces render support to them." This is aimed to cover up the aggressive nature of the U.S.-led military drills.

Just before the start of the June 25 war the U.S. handed over the prerogative of the supreme command of the army to the Syngman Rhee regime and staged the farce of "U.S. forces' pullout" of south Korea.

The "field observation" by the members of the now defunct "Neutral Nations Supervision Committee", the participation of military personnel of the former U.S. allies in the drills and other moves for the abuse of "UN" name are just a farce to set the stage for another Korean war.

The U.S. and the south Korean warmongers deserve censure of the international community as they run reckless to ignite an aggression war, oblivious of the historical lesson.

The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK have already received the order of the great illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu. If the enemies drop even a flare of fire in the area of the DPRK side, its armed forces will never miss the opportunity and lead it to a great war for national reunification. They are now replete with this will of annihilating the enemy.

This war will be a praiseworthy one of removing the root cause of all evils that harass the world and an admirable military exploit to shine long in history.

The heroic Korean People's Army and the Korean people who have inherited the ever-victorious tradition by defeating two formidable imperialisms in one generation will clearly show the world that they really meant when they declared they will do.
