Choe Jun Hyok, an officer of the Korean People's Army, told KCNA:

"Whenever I hear the song, I think of the flag of the Workers' Party of Korea, as well as the history of the Korean revolution that has triumphantly advanced along the road of Juche.

The flag represents the spirit of socialist Korea standing firm against the U.S.-led imperialists."

Pang Sun Nyo, a section chief of the Hydro-meteorological Service, said:

"The song reminds me of the WPK flag, which mirrors the whole life of leader Kim Jong Il, who always held fast to the principle of independence and Songun (military-first) line in any adversity in the whole period of guiding the Korean revolution.

With the flag held high, Kim Jong Il worked heart and soul for the prosperity of the country, making ceaseless inspection tours of army units and providing field guidance to industrial establishments."

Ri Nam Il, a teacher at Kim Il Sung University, said:

"Singing the song 'Fly High, Our Party Flag', we will steadfastly carry forward the traditions of the WPK, united around the leader."
