U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Exercises under Fire

Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The general secretary of the New Yugoslav Communist Party of Serbia and the internal secretary of the Central Committee of the League of the Yugoslavian Communist Youth issued a joint statement on Aug. 20 as regards Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises kicked off by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers.

They expressed serious concern over the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula again due to UFG.

They urged the U.S. imperialists and south Korea to immediately stop UFG and roll back their anachronistic hostile policy toward the DPRK.

They were convinced that no force on earth can match the might of the Korean people closely united around the great Songun brilliant commander, adding that they will always stand by the Korean people for independence, peace and reunification.

They called on the world progressives to extend firm support and solidarity to the just struggle of the Korean people in unity.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, in a statement on Aug. 21 harshly condemned UFG, urging the U.S. and its followers to face up to the situation and immediately stop their reckless military provocations going against the trend of the times.
