Rodong Sinmun Blames U.S. for Instability on Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is becoming all the more reckless in blackmailing the DPRK by force of arms, coiling up tension on the Korean Peninsula, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in a bylined article. The U.S. claims that it has no hostility to the DPRK but it is watching for a chance to invade the DPRK, sharpening a sword of aggression, the article notes, and goes on: The U.S. foolish intention is to drive the situation on the peninsula to the worst phase so as to attain its sordid aim of invading the DPRK, and finally create favorable conditions for carrying out its strategy for world domination. The U.S. ever-escalating hostile policy to stifle the DPRK precisely means the policy to put region under its control for its world domination strategy. It is the U.S. view that if it seizes the whole Korean Peninsula, it can put under its control the major strategic areas of the Western Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Northeast Asia and thus encircle Eurasia from all sides. The U.S. is planning to fight another Korean war as a last operation of laying an overall military siege to the Eurasian continent. Accordingly, it is regularly holding the DPRK-targeted military drills with the south Korean warmongers with a firm hold on south Korea, escalating the tension on the peninsula. To smash the U.S. imperialists' moves to provoke a new war is an important and pressing issue to ensure the peace and security in the peninsula and the rest of the world. If the enemies dare fire even a single shell into the territory of the DPRK, it will deal immediate deadly counter-strikes at them to develop them to a sacred war for reunifying the country. |
