The August 20-26 issue of the Lao newspaper Heng Ngan carried an article titled "HE Kim Jong Il's Songun Leadership and Development of Korea" with a photo of him inspecting a unit of the Korean People's Army.

It said thanks to his more than 50-year-long Songun leadership, the military power of the DPRK was upgraded to the highest level and the political and ideological might of its army and people has become matchless.

It elaborated on how the Korean people worked miracles in every field under the banner of Songun, stressing that this is the true picture of modern Korea that came into reality under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The Indian newspaper Krishna Aberta on Aug. 20 devoted a whole page to a special write-up with his photo.

In an article titled "Footsteps for Devotion" it said he made the long march for building a thriving socialist nation with patriotism and devotion.

The Indonesian paper Suara Karya on Aug. 22 carried an article entitled "Songun Korea".

The Bangladeshi paper Natun Bangla on Aug. 20 lauded immortal feats of his Songun revolutionary leadership.
