The U.S. describes the military drill as "an annual exercise for defending south Korea from the north's invasion" but it can never cover up the criminal nature of the exercises, the commentary says, and goes on:

The U.S. openly disclosed its attempt to bring down the DPRK by force and make a breakthrough in establishing military hegemony in the Asia-Pacific region.

The U.S. anti-DPRK war rehearsal consistent with this self-justified and tyrannical military strategy has created the worst military stand-off in the Korean Peninsula, the world's biggest flashpoint, pushing it close to a war.

History and the situation prove that force should be countered with force, not just with words when dealing with the U.S.

The requirement of the present times is to bolster arms to safeguard valuable peace, dignity and security.

We will not turn aside from this requirement but counter the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and military provocation with bolstered war deterrent.

If the U.S. finally starts a war, the army and people of the DPRK will lead it to a great war for national reunification and remove the root cause of war from the world.
