They warmly congratulated the Korean people on significantly greeting the anniversary, August 25.

They expressed full support and solidarity with the army and people of the DPRK in their efforts to consolidate the country's defence capability, firmly standing against the moves of the U.S. and south Korean puppet regime for launching a new war.

The Korean People's Army has grown to be a matchless army reliably protecting the security of the country and the people from enemies' aggression under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the Songun revolutionary cause of Kim Jong Il generation after generation, they said, adding:

A grave situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula in which a war may break out any moment due to Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime.

The chairman and secretary general fully supported all the measures taken by the DPRK regarding the war exercises.

They demanded the U.S. and south Korean authorities stop at once all sorts of political and military provocations against the DPRK.
