Rodong Sinmun in an editorial says that the message reflected his noble intention and expectation that young people will become the scout party of the ranks for great advance who take the lead in upholding the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea by inheriting the glorious tradition of the Korean youth movement and thus successfully carry forward and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche and Songun. It goes on:

It is the steadfast belief of Kim Jong Un to put forward the proud youth who have grown up under the care of the Generalissimos so as to steadily advance the Songun revolution and achieve the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The young Koreans are living in the most glorious era. Never has there been such a great era as the present one where the might of the single-minded unity and the invincible military power of Songun Korea have been put on the highest level and the bright future of prosperity is being opened under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, the brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu. Now is the time to devote resourcefulness and valor of youth and burning patriotism keeping pace with his giant strides.

The congratulatory message reviewed with pride the validity and vitality of the Generalissimos' politics of attaching importance to youth, clarified the duty and mission assigned to them by the era and comprehensively indicated the important tasks facing the young people and the youth league. It serves as an immortal great programme to be maintained by the Juche-based youth movement forever. The Korean youth movement will dynamically advance along the road of Juche forever as the great guidelines are indicating the way to be followed by youth.

An editorial of Minju Joson stresses the young vanguard united close around Kim Jong Un will give the fullest play to the heroic stamina of the Korean youth and bring earlier the historic cause of national reunification and the final victory of the building of a thriving nation.
