Shapril Arsiyad, chairman of the Indonesian Federation of Transport Workers Unions, said this in a statement issued on August 23.

Under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the DPRK, not a big country, turned into a nuclear weapons state, a military power which even the U.S., a country styling itself the world's only superpower, dares not provoke and an independent country defending its own style socialism despite the West's sanctions and pressure, the statement noted.

It warmly congratulated Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, who creditably carries forward Kim Jong Il's cause of Songun revolution, on receiving the title of DPRK Marshal.

Under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un who is possessed of rare wisdom, the army and people of the DPRK will meet all challenges of the imperialists and win greater victory, it said, and went on:

The U.S. and south Korea are staging provocative Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises against the DPRK, driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war.

This is a grave challenge to the desire of the public at home and abroad for peace and stability on the peninsula.

The statement expressed full support and solidarity with all the efforts of the DPRK to defend peace and security not only of the peninsula but the rest of the world.
