Displayed at the expo were various kinds of flowers presented by more than 40 countries including the DPRK.

The DPRK's wing was packed with gardeners and visitors from different countries during the expo.

On August 22, an awarding ceremony took place at the Exposition Theatre of the World Horticultural Expo.

Present there were members of the organizing committee of the World Horticultural Expo, Venlo 2012 Holland, the Floricultural Council of Netherlands and the Jury Committee of International Flowers of the Expo and more than 200 delegates of different countries around the world.

Prizes and diplomas were awarded to the winning flowers at the ceremony.

The chairman of the Jury Committee said that Kimjongilia is called after Kim Jong Il. Then the 1st Prize Patio Plants and diploma were awarded to the delegation of the DPRK Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee.

The chairman of the organizing committee of the expo said that Kimjongilia is a special flower. "With the august name of a peerlessly great man, Kimjongilia left unforgettable impressions on all of us," the chairman added.

The chairman of the Jury Committee noted that Kimjongilia holding the highest position in the flower circle was estimated as the perfect flower in the contest.

The president of the International Association of Horticultural Producers said Kimjongilia is a matchless famous flower.

Gardeners and visitors of many countries including Germany, UK and France expressed their deep reverence for Kim Jong Il, saying that Kimjongilia is the most fascinating and beautiful flower in the world.
