Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a bylined commentary terms the war gamble an open wreckage of peace and a reckless action driving the situation close to the brink of war.

The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces examined the operational preparations in a comprehensive way to invade the DPRK by force of arms under the signboard of what they call "provocation deterrence," it says, and continues:

The U.S. worked out a new defence strategy of attaching importance to Asia and set the DPRK as the first target in its implementation. It has already finished off the strategic deployment of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in south Korea and in its vicinity, task force in its mainland and other armed forces and war equipment so that they may carry out military operations against the DPRK any moment. The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors in league with its American master examined and completed the preparations to provoke a new war as a whole. What remains to be done for them is to ignite a war.

It is the U.S. imperialists and the Lee group of traitors that threaten the DPRK and countries in its vicinity with military provocations and war moves.

With nothing can they cover up their hostile nature. Nor can they flee from the responsibility for the greatest danger of nuclear war on the peninsula.
