Speakers at the rally slammed the military authorities for brutally cracking down upon inhabitants of Jeju Island for their protest against the naval base construction though it was disclosed that the naval base under construction was for the U.S. troops.

They also accused the Lee Myung Bak "government" of contemplating the introduction of U.S.-made "F-35" fighters into south Korea.

It is only the people who will suffer from the war moves of the U.S. and the Lee group, they noted, calling on all of them to bring earlier the end of the warmongers.
