The Women's International Democratic Federation posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "Undying Songun feats".

The article said that on August 25, 1960 he started his Songun revolutionary leadership. His Songun leadership for more than half a century ushered in a new era of prosperity unprecedented in the history of the Korean nation spanning 5 000 years, it added.

He paid deep attention to bolstering up the military muscle of the Korean People's Army, it noted, and went on:

The army and people of the DPRK could achieve the unbreakable single-minded unity, rallied close around the Workers' Party of Korea under his Songun revolutionary leadership.

Epochal changes have taken place in economic construction and in the efforts to improve the standard of the people's living in the DPRK in recent years under his energetic leadership.
