The factory built thanks to the noble intention of leader Kim Jong Il is now in its heyday.

He visited the newly-built factory in July 2009. Going round its production processes for a long while, he expressed great satisfaction, calling it a youthful and promising one thoroughly based on Juche. He set forth important tasks to be fulfilled to turn it into the nation's leading comprehensive building materials center.

The officials, technicians and workers of the factory introduced the world advanced technology in a bold and creative manner to suit its actual conditions and put the supply of raw materials and fuel on an indigenous basis.

The factory wound up the construction of various production buildings including a building for producing large-size building materials covering at least 20 000 square meters, the general crushing plant and the oxygen-generating plant in a matter of a little over one year in the main after its groundbreaking.

While producing varieties of tiles and roofing ones amounting to millions of square meters every year, the factory completed the assembling of equipment for the processes for the production of crystallite, large tile compounded with glass and large artificial marble tile and the general grinding streamline.

The factory also succeeded in completing new processes for making egg coal for the gasification of anthracite and raw materials for glaze.

It thus realized the gasification of anthracite found in abundance in the country, placing fuel on an indigenous basis. It, at the same time, introduced a reasonable calcinating method, boosting the production of varieties of roofing tiles.

There is a central computer control room in the factory which controls power, the feeding of raw materials, the production processes and its orders and sales. It is operating a CNC-based high-tension water cutter capable of precisely grinding tiles, building stones, glass and other building materials.

Officials and workers of the factory solved difficult and complicated technological problems in the period of the projects by advancing a lot of technological innovation and invention proposals.

The second-phase project for expanding the capacity of the factory was successfully finished this year, making kilns operational.

The factory entered into a serial production of large high-quality building materials through a single successful test.

The completion of the project helped lay a material and technological foundation for mass-producing large high-quality building materials with local raw materials and indigenous technologies. As a result, the production capacity of the factory almost doubled.

The factory has turned into a model of the times demonstrating the might of the Juche-based industry.
