The work, published on Sept. 6, 1972, sets forth tasks for firmly establishing the monolithic ideological system of the Party among the creators, transforming people in revolutionary and working-class way with responsibility and producing more pieces of literature and arts conducive to the revolutionary education of the people.

The work also clarifies such issues as correctly combining the ideological value and artistry by applying the theory of seed in producing works, grasping the reality, vividly reflecting it and abiding by the principle of originality and non-repetition.

An Tong Chun, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea, in a report referred to the brilliant developments made by literature and arts of the DPRK for 4 decades after the publication of the work.

He said that the creators and artistes prepared themselves to be strong and able forces of building socialist literature and arts, armed with the Juche idea of the Party and its policy of literature and arts.

He noted that varieties of works were produced to show the glorious revolutionary history and the undying feats of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu, and they positively contributed to the realization of the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leaders and the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The five revolutionary operas and revolutionary dramas and other famous masterpieces were produced to enrich the treasure house of the literature and arts of Juche, and a lot of famous songs were created to instill confidence in victory of revolution and courage into all the servicepersons and people.

The reporter called upon all the officials, creators and artistes to apply the Juche-based literature and arts of the Party so as to add shine to the flower garden of the Songun literature and arts.
