Seen on the front wall of the venue of the ceremony were portraits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Present there were personages and members of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and affiliated Group for the Study of Juche Idea including the Nigerian Group for the Study of Kimjongilism and teaching staff of the International College of Journalism.

Speeches were made there.

Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un formulated the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il publicly recognized as a great guiding idea in the era of independence as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. This was an event of great historic significance for the progressive people struggling for independence and socialism.

A decision on renaming the Group for the Study of Kimjongilism of Nigeria as the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of Nigeria and Igwanagu Nicholas was elected its chairman.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the ceremony.
