The bulletin edited an article titled "Foundation of DPRK" and other articles. It elaborated on how the DPRK was founded on September 9, 1948. It said:

The DPRK has turned into a prospering country in which the principles -- independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence -- were thoroughly applied under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

Today the Korean people are pushing forward socialist construction, single-mindedly united around Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

The DPRK set it as its goal of economic development to build a thriving nation and this drew world attention.

The Korean people are developing the country's economy into the technology-intensive economy by dint of latest science and technology developed by their own efforts.

Biological engineering technology, nano technology, nuclear technology and space technology are rapidly developing.

What draws attention in the economic development of the DPRK is that its economy is advancing in the direction of further strengthening the foundation of the independent economy on the basis of its own fuel and raw materials.
