Present there on invitation were the vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of China, the vice-minister of Railways of China, the vice-president of the Xinhua News Agency, Wu Donghe, chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association, Yang Yanyi, assistant to head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and other officials concerned.

Present there were Ji Jae Ryong, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy officials.

Speeches were made there.

Ji said in his speech that the 64-year-long history of the DPRK was the proud history of victory in which the Korean people made a vigorous advance to build a thriving nation weathering all sorts of trials and ordeals under the leadership of the great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Thanks to the dear respected Kim Jong Un, the cause of Juche and Songun revolution started in Mt. Paektu will be accomplished generation after generation, he noted.

Noting that the traditional DPRK-China friendship provided and developed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the Chinese leaders is being consolidated and developed as the days go by under the deep care of the dear respected Kim Jong Un and Comrade Hu Jintao, he reaffirmed the will to make positive efforts to boost the bilateral relations in the future, too.

The vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of China noted that the Koreans registered proud successes in the building of Korean style socialism under the leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il over the last 64 years.

Today the Korean people are dynamically stepping up the building of a thriving nation through the aggressive and vigorous struggle, united close around Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea, he said.

He said that it is the steadfast strategic policy of the party and government of China to steadily consolidate and develop the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative ties, expressing the will to continue to develop the bilateral ties in the spirit of inheriting the tradition, facing up to the future, building good-neighborly friendship and strengthening cooperation, and to make fresh contributions to bringing happiness to the two peoples and ensuring the peace and stability in the region.
