Congratulatory Group of Koreans in Japan Visits Birthplace of Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- A congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan headed by Ko Tok U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, toured Mangyongdae, birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. The group is visiting the homeland to take part in the celebrations of the 64th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK. The members of the group laid bouquets before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of Kim Il Sung, and those of Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok, his parents, and observed a moment's silence. They looked round relics in the old home in Mangyongdae, recollecting with deep emotion the immortal revolutionary career of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung. The head of the delegation said that the visit to Mangyongdae made his yearning for Kim Il Sung stronger. The President built the socialist power on this land, the head said, praising him as the pioneer of the revolutionary cause of Juche and father of socialist Korea. The group also visited the state industrial fine art exhibition. |
