Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea, with deep understanding of the demand of the new era in which the oppressed and maltreated popular masses have emerged as the master of their destiny.

Kim Jong Il comprehensively systematized the Juche idea with his energetic ideological and theoretical activities. He developed in depth the Songun idea and put forward the theory of building a thriving socialist nation.

The revolutionary ideas of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are inseparable and it is too natural to call them Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

The Juche idea is the important component of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and constitutes its essence.

The theory of Songun politics and the theory of building a thriving socialist nation which reflect the requirement of the developing revolution in the present times hold an important position in Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
