Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, its vice-chairmen, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, department directors, chairmen of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area, officials of organizations and enterprises of Chongryon and Korean businessmen.

Present there on invitation were Japanese personages, ambassadors of different countries and representatives of international organizations in Tokyo and foreign correspondents.

Ho Jong Man said in his speech that the people in the homeland are pushing forward the general advance for building a thriving nation under the wise leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. They celebrated the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung as a grand festival of the century after turning big sorrow over the unexpected loss of leader Kim Jong Il into thousand-fold strength and courage, he added.

Kim Jong Un is providing energetic field guidance to turn the DPRK into not only a political and military power but a knowledge-based economic power based on the latest science and technology that advances along the road of independence, Songun and socialism opened by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, and makes its people fully enjoy wealth and prosperity, Ho said.

Condemning the U.S. and the south Korean authorities for creating the touch-and-go situation in the Korean Peninsula, ho urged the U.S. to clearly face up to the situation, repeal its hostile policy toward the DPRK, the policy going against the times, and opt for ensuring peace in the peninsula.

Ho demanded the Japanese government lift the unreasonable sanctions against the DPRK and seek improving the DPRK-Japan relations with the 10th anniversary of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration as a momentum.

He expressed expectation that different countries would as ever extend full support to the Koreans in Japan in their efforts to defend their rights.
