DPRK's Birthday Marked in Foreign Countries

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Russia, Laos, Romania and Bulgaria in celebration of the 64th anniversary of the DPRK from Sept. 3 to 5. On display in the venues were photos on the victorious and glorious history of the DPRK. Present there were personages of governments, political parties, organizations and institutions including the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Foreign Ministry, the People's Supreme Court, the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, the Romanian Socialist Union, the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union, the Bulgarian Socialist party and the Bulgaria-DPRK Friendship Association and masses. Present there on invitation were the ambassadors and staff members of the DPRK embassies in the relevant countries. The chairman of the Russian association noted President Kim Il Sung accomplished the historic cause of building party, army and nation after Korea's liberation. The chief of the section of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences said the DPRK made steady development under the great leadership of the President and leader Kim Jong Il. The vice-chairman of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association praised the Korean people for having achieved great successes in socialist construction for the past 64 years under the leadership of the peerlessly great men, hoping that the dear respected Kim Jong Un would lead the building of a thriving socialist nation to victory. The chairman of the Romanian Socialist Union expressed conviction that peace and security would be ensured on the Korean Peninsula and the building of a thriving nation and the cause of Korea's reunification would certainly be accomplished as Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, has steadfastly carried forward the cause of the preceding leaders. Messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings in Russia and Bulgaria. |
