Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The song "Fly High, Our Party Flag", rearranged by the Unhasu Orchestra, is becoming increasingly popular in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It was created in 1985 marking the 40th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). The song of three stanzas depicts the strong will of the Korean people to always follow the WPK leading the Korean revolution to victory under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. The first stanza shows the Korean army and people going through the tempest of revolution, closely rallied around the WPK. The second stanza tells that the Korean people have grown to be heroes in the era, overcoming all sorts of hardships under the guidance of the ever-victorious WPK. The third stanza displays their steadfast will to continue advancing along the road of the revolution through generations under the uplifted banner of the WPK. The song stresses the idea that Kim Jong Il represents the red flag bearer of the WPK as he regarded the lofty intention of the President as his immovable faith. In his lifetime Kim Jong Il laid strong foundations for the country's prosperity by making ceaseless field guidance tours in disregard of bad weather conditions. Thanks to his devoted efforts, the DPRK emerged a nuclear state and a satellite manufacturing and launching state and turned into an invincible socialist state possessed of ultra-modern technologies. Singing this song, the army and people of the DPRK are now effecting innovations at their posts and worksites with the unanimous mind to surely build a prosperous and powerful nation in this land under the banner of the WPK, firmly united around the dear respected Kim Jong Un. |
