Earlier, there was a meeting to mark the day.

Present at the meeting were officials of the GAKC, members of the Youth Federation of Koreans in China who took part in celebrations of Youth Day in the DPRK, Koreans in Shenyang and the DPRK consul general in Shenyang.

Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the GAKC, made a report.

She said it was thanks to the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il that the DPRK could become an invincible socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, stressing that the peerless great men's plan for building a rich and powerful country has been successfully carried forward by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people vigorously advancing under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un while flying high the immortal flags bearing the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, she said.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting Kim Yong Nyo, chairwoman of the above-said federation who took part in celebrations of Youth Day, made a report after returning from the homeland.

That day a reception was given to mark the day.
