Korean Revolution Sure to Triumph Thanks to Songun Politics: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has followed the road chosen by itself, remaining unfazed in face of the counter-revolutionary offensive of the imperialist allied forces as it has advanced, tightly holding arms. Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a bylined article. Big or small wars in the 20th century taught a serious lesson that any country or nation which neglected army building or had weak military capability could not beat back the imperialists' aggression and armed intervention but allowed themselves to fall into the position of a stateless nation, the article notes, and goes on: The imperialist forces in the grip of a serious crisis politically and economically seek to find a way out of the abyss of ruin in igniting a new war. There is no knowing where and when a new war of aggression will be launched by the imperialists to expand the sphere of their domination. The philosophical principle that one should more tightly hold arms of revolution remains unchanged so long as there are imperialists on the globe. If a country fails to bolster up its capability for self-defense, it cannot stand up firm against the imperialists. History goes to prove that the idea of attaching importance to the army should not be considered as a temporary way and as a tactical issue as long as there is imperialism. A country is sure to triumph if it tightly holds arms. This is clearly proved by the practical experience of the DPRK. In face of the might of Songun politics, neither siege nor nuclear blackmail nor missile racket of the imperialists against the DPRK would prove workable. Steadfast are the stand and determination of the Korean people to reinforce the deterrent for self-defense, firmly holding the arms of Songun, no matter how the situation may change and no matter how many trials they may face. |
