Minju Joson Thursday says this in a bylined commentary.

The commentary notes the "basic plan for national defense policy" envisaged creation of a mountain brigade in the ground force, expansion of the cyber command twice the present size, organization of a submarine headquarters in the navy, reorganization of a brigade for special warfare into a flotilla, establishment of a brigade-level unit and an aerial corps in the navy and a new unit for monitoring and controlling satellites and an air intelligence corps in the air force.

On top of it, the plan implied development and deployment of ground-to-ground missiles aimed at striking the nuclear facilities, missile bases, etc., in the DPRK in the contingency, introduction of long-range air-to-ground missiles, development of cyber weapons, reinforcement of reserve units for special warfare and transfer of operation command to the chiefs of the general staff of all services, says the commentary, adding:

Lurking behind the south Korean regime's announcement of the war scenario under the signboard of "defense" is an intention to intensify its confrontation with fellow countrymen in a more undisguised and planned way.

The regime is going to trigger an extreme animosity against fellow countrymen by systematically stepping up the military confrontation while rounding off the groundwork for a war in reliance on the U.S. in a bid to provoke a war against the DPRK.

The army and people of the DPRK will not remain an onlooker to the south Korean group of traitors' provocations for a war at the instigation of the U.S.

To respond to provocations with a prompt counter-strike and to a war with a just great war for reunifying the country--this is the answer of the DPRK.

Approaching is the day when the group of traitors will be burned to death in flame it kindled.
