The chairman of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association said that the founding of the DPRK was an event of historic significance as it was a brilliant fruition of the heroic struggle waged by the Korean people under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

Noting that he was rejoiced at the important successes made by the Korean people over the last 64 years, he expressed conviction that the traditional friendly and cooperative ties between the two parties, the two states and the two peoples would steadily grow.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and other speakers said that the feats of the President would always be remembered by progressive mankind with the century.

They said that Kim Jong Il was the great leader who successfully carried forward the revolutionary cause of Juche started by the President, adding that Kim Jong Il's patriotic feats would go down in history as he reliably protected the destiny of the country and its people with arms and paved a wide avenue for the prosperity of the country by dint of Songun.

The international secretary of the Communist Party of Peru "Red Motherland", secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, curator of the Kim Jong Suk Library in Peru and other speakers noted that the DPRK would demonstrate its dignity as a thriving socialist nation under the Songun leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association stressed that the founding of the DPRK greatly encouraged the people of the whole world in their struggle for independence against colonialism and imperialism.

A message of greeting to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting held in Sweden.
