Indian, Syrian Figures Greet Korean People on DPRK's Birthday
Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Indian and Syrian figures released statements on Sept. 5 and 6 on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the DPRK.

Harising Khan, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), noted that the Korean people have covered a shining path since President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, founded the DPRK.

He said that the DPRK is demonstrating its dignity and might as an independent power in the international arena.

He continued:

Leader Kim Jong Il, successor to the idea and cause of the President, reliably defended the gains of socialism by decisively smashing all sorts of anti-DPRK moves of the imperialist allied forces through his independent Songun politics.

It was thanks to his Songun leadership that the DPRK grew to be an invincible socialist power.

He expressed belief that all people of the DPRK would surely build a thriving socialist nation without fail by weathering all sorts of ordeals under the outstanding and seasoned leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Saber Ballul, department head of the Political Faculty of Syrian University of Damascus, said that the founding of the DPRK meant the birth of the first people's democratic state and the genuine people's country in the East, and it was a historic event which opened the road of building a powerful socialist nation.

Speaking highly of the DPRK demonstrating its might as an independent power, he expressed belief that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea would dynamically keep to the road of independence, Songun and socialism as declared by Kim Jong Un.
