Overseas Koreans' Organization Lauds Brilliant Commander of Songun
Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- The International United Confederation of Koreans released the August issue of its bulletin "Thongil".

The bulletin carried a photo of leader Kim Jong Il in a column titled "Special write-up devoted the 52nd anniversary of start of Songun revolutionary leadership".

Under the title of "Brilliant commander in era of Songun" the bulletin carried an article praising the undying feats Kim Jong Il performed by weathering difficulties and ordeals with arms and thus protecting the dignity and destiny of the country and nation.

The bulletin carried the gist of a speech made by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un at a banquet given in celebration of August 25.

It also carried his work "Let Us Effect Kim Jong Il's Patriotism and Step Up the Building of a Prosperous Country" and a congratulatory message he sent to the participants in the meeting for celebrating Youth Day and all other youth of the country.

Under the caption "Kim Jong Un, focus of world", the bulletin said that world media praised him as a leader who gained the greatest popularity in the shortest time in the world.

The bulletin carried a news agency report of Russia that Kim Jong Un inspected islet defence detachments in the biggest hotspots in the southernmost part of the southwestern sector of the front and issued his order to them.

It also conveyed news that the leaders of the DPRK and Russia exchanged messages of greeting and events were held in the DPRK in memory of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in the run-up to the 67th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The bulletin carried a statement made by a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry in denunciation of the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces' DPRK-targeted joint military maneuvers and a memorandum issued by the ministry titled "U.S. hostile policy toward DPRK is chief obstacle to settlement of nuclear issue of Korean Peninsula".
