DPRK Children Benefit from Healthcare System
Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- In the Democratic People's Republic of Korea children enjoys great benefits from the healthcare system.

There are nurseries in all urban and rural communities of the country. Weekly nurseries and kindergartens are also run. Motherless children are brought up at orphanages at public expense.

Each nursery has a doctor and some nurseries have even children's wards.

A medical service system exclusively for children was established at hospitals at all levels across the country.

All the children throughout the country take vaccination on a regular basis free of charge.

They receive routine checkups and are supplied with medicines in accordance with the results.

Women, believed to be pregnant with triplets, get diagnosis at Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. If they are confirmed, they are hospitalized. The state pays for the triplets growing up at nurseries until they turn four years old.

The DPRK government set every August and September as the months for supporting nurseries and kindergartens, during which a series of measures are taken for children's health.
