DPRK's Birthday Observed by Foreign Broadcasting Services

Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Foreign radio and TV broadcasting services aired programs congratulating the DPRK on its 64th birthday between Sept. 1 and 9. Equatorial Guinean TV aired four times a special program on the DPRK together with portraits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. The program said: The founding of the DPRK by Kim Il Sung on Sept. 9, 1948 was a shining victory of the line of nation-building laid down by him and it marked a historic event which brought about a radical change in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and carving out the destiny of the Korean nation. The DPRK covered the path of victory and glory under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and joined all other people of the world in the struggle against domination, interference and war moves and positively contributed to ensuring peace in Asia. Syrian Central TV and Radio Broadcasting Services also gave a detailed account of the fact that the DPRK turned into a country of the people and an invincible socialist power. The Cambodian State Radio Broadcasting Service said: Supreme leader Kim Jong Un is standing at the helm of the DPRK. He solemnly declared that the DPRK would invariably keep to the road of independence, Songun and socialism. F.M. 90.5 Radio and Apsara TV and Radio of Cambodia introduced successes registered by the people of the DPRK in building a rich and powerful nation under the leadership of the peerlessly great men. Guinean State TV and TV "Tele Andina 23" of Ecuador showed DPRK films such as "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang at Night". |
