Korean Book, Photo and Handicraft Exhibitions Held in China, Russia

Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions took place in China and Russia from Sept. 8 to 13 on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK. On display in their venues were photos on undying leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un. Also on display were works of the peerlessly great men, photos and books on the glorious history of the DPRK and handicrafts associated with the wisdom and craftsmanship of Koreans. Present at the opening ceremonies of the exhibitions were figures from all walks of life and masses of relevant countries. The general director of the Painters and Calligraphers' Association of Shanghai, China, said the Sino-DPRK friendship was forged between the peoples of the two countries while fighting shoulder to shoulder in the same trench, adding this exhibition would provide Chinese visitors with an opportunity to know better about the culture and arts of the DPRK. He sincerely hoped that the Korean people would build a thriving socialist nation as early as possible, rallied close around Kim Jong Un. Meanwhile, an inaugural ceremony of the Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition was held in Mudanjiang City of Heilongjiang Province, China on Aug. 31 on the 1st anniversary of Kim Jong Il's visit to the Northeastern area of China, the 52nd anniversary of his start of Songun revolutionary leadership and the 64th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK. |
