S. Koreans Condemn U.S. Military Exercises

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- Civil, social and youth and students bodies of south Korea held the 156th rally for actions for independent reunification and peace before the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Sept. 11 denouncing the U.S. for rounding off preparations for a war of aggression and imposing only misfortune and sufferings upon fellow countrymen.

They condemned the U.S. troops for staging war drills to invade the north in Maehyang-ri for decades, thus jeopardizing the life of the inhabitants there.

They noted that the inhabitants were spending painful days, with them deprived of their cradle of life by the U.S. which has expanded its Phyongthaek military base under its new aggression doctrine.

They called for making efforts to take back their cradle of life.
