Rodong Sinmun Calls for Preserving Juche Character, National Identity

Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) --The progressive people of the world are required to strengthen international unity and cooperation. This is prerequisite to opposing imperialism and hegemony and preserving the Juche character and national identity of each country, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined article. It goes on: International unity and cooperation should be achieved on the principle of independence under any circumstances. The unity and cooperation based on independence alone can contribute to accomplishing the common cause of preserving the Juche character and national identity. It is necessary to boost South-South cooperation on the principle of collective self-reliance. If the developing countries aspiring after independence develop the South-South cooperation, they can certainly foil the imperialists' moves for world "integration" and successfully build independent national economy without depending on them. They, at the same time, can develop the material and cultural life creatively in conformity with the aspiration and wishes of their peoples. The democratization of the international community provides an important guarantee for preserving the Juche character and national identity of each country. For the countries aspiring after independence to boost international unity and cooperation is the only way for deterring the imperialist forces from trifling with international organizations including the U.N. and settling all international issues on a democratic principle. The DPRK will wage a positive struggle to strengthen the unity and cooperation with the progressives of the world and democratize the international community. By doing so, it will fulfill its international duty and mission of the times in accomplishing the common cause of preserving the Juche character and national identity of countries and nations and achieving global independence. |
