Hong Myong Hwa, a section chief of the Ministry of Foodstuff and Daily Necessities Industry, told KCNA:

"The exhibition, held each year from Juche 92 (2003), aims to widely introduce the Korean nation's excellent dressing culture and further develop it.

The Korean Apparel Association, a sponsor of the exhibition, has employed advanced clothing techniques in making preparations for the exhibition.

Korean dresses selected at provincial exhibitions will be put on display at the national exhibition.

The forthcoming national exhibition will be characterized by show of men's apparels of various styles, unlike the past exhibitions which focused on women's seasonal dresses. It will also include a presentation of clothing techniques, display of books on clothes and multi-media services on garment processing.

Prizes will be awarded to winners and a rotating trophy and cups to the organizations that will prove successful.

A fashion show is also expected during the exhibition."
