Kim Yong Gon, a section chief of the DPRK State Science and Technology Commission, told KCNA:

"The recent exhibition served as a place for making dealings between inventors and manufacturers. Its main purpose was to help invigorate the economy and improve people's livelihood.

We summed up nationwide demands for each technology and distributed the guideline of the exhibition to inventors from two months before the exhibition's opening.

About 1 000 applications for order of new inventions were accepted until the end of the exhibition.

The exhibition witnessed a lot of contracts on making and purchasing inventions and technologies as well as technological service. It also gave a multi-media lecture on the theme of "Regulations on intellectual properties dealing" and other lectures on latest science and technology.

Visitors could get access to data about foreign and local patents at the exhibition.

The exhibition showcased the development of the nation's science and technology."
