Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- The Korean revolution was started and advanced victoriously with arms, and its long history is associated with the undying feats of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero. Nam Kyong Chon, first deputy curator of the Korean Revolution Museum, told KCNA: "It was Kim Jong Suk's steadfast faith to achieve the national liberation and accelerate the final victory of the revolution by force of arms. Since she started her career as a revolutionary in her teens, she had devoted her all to the military affairs for freedom and liberation of the country. During the anti-Japanese armed struggle, she displayed her marksmanship, mysterious strategy and courage in many battles, including the battles in Xinancha, Laoling, Liudaogou, Liukesong and Jiaxinzi. After the country's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule, she had dedicated herself to building the regular army. To lay a foundation for the defence industry, she made guidance tours of a munitions factory several times and paid big efforts to training military officers at Pyongyang School and other military academies. She also worked heart and soul to building air, naval and tank forces, true to President Kim Il Sung's line of building the Juche-based revolutionary armed forces. Kim Jong Suk's feats for the Songun (army-first) revolution will remain forever in the nation's history along with the DPRK's dignity." |
