Shortly ago, the puppet Unification Ministry announced that it would hold the event of "unification jar land-crossing journey" in which the participants would pass through 12 major cities of south Korea by bike.

The regime plunged the favorably-developing north-south ties into a deadlock by escalating confrontation with the fellow countrymen and created the touch-and-go situation. It is a sort of political cartoon for it to clamor for "unification jar" and "cost for unification".

This burlesque staged by the Lee Myung Bak regime of traitors is aimed to cover up its traitorous and anti-reunification nature and incite confrontation with the fellow countrymen.

The regime put "unification jar" on display and has underlined the need for getting "prepared for unification" whenever an opportunity presented itself. It even opened a movement website as part of it.

By abusing the "jar" that conjures up nostalgia among the people, the regime is desperately trying to win the public mindset for unification in south Korea.

Is it "fund" that is needed for unification?

The Korean nation has keenly felt the truth and vitality of the nation's concord through their life experience after the publication of the June 15 north-south joint declaration.

Roads and railways between the north and the south had been re-linked even though they were cut off for more than half a century and air and sea routes were opened for the people in the north and the south to visit each other and carry out cooperation projects. They were excited, hoping that reunification will come soon. As the projects progressed, the north and the south adopted and published the October 4 declaration, an action programme for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

But at a time when all the Koreans were advancing toward reunification, the Lee Myung Bak regime that staked its fate on escalated confrontation emerged. It brought the north-south ties to a collapse and created the touch-and-go situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The south Koreans from all walks of life are unanimously denouncing the conservative regime's moves for escalating confrontation between social systems against reunification and are determined to force it to pay a dear price for having blocked the nation in its way for independent reunification, peace and prosperity.

The regime, which is indifferent to the nation's reconciliation, unity and independent reunification, has escalated confrontation with the fellow countrymen while staging "unification jar" farce. It has tried hard to cover up its political failure and prolong its dirty remaining days.

No wonder, even south Korean politicians charged Lee with "staking his fate on the policy of 'unification jar' even though the hope for improving the south-north ties has disappeared."

No matter how desperately the Lee regime may try to cover up its hideous traitorous crimes with the jar farce, it can never be able to escape from its destined miserable fate. So will its jar for confrontation.
