Jang was the activist who devoted himself to democratization and the movement for reunification in protest against the "yusin" dictatorship, the appeal noted, calling upon the people from all walks of life to participate in the signature campaign to probe the truth behind the murder.

Then followed speeches.

Speakers urged the "National Assembly" to probe the truth behind the murder in a responsible manner and open to public the then murderers.

The "Saenuri Party," in particular, should reinstate those killed in the period of the "yusin" dictatorship and let the people know about history properly, they urged.
