Many of the participants are newcomers to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

KCNA met Christian Studer Dianel, president and producer of the Swiss Minerva Film Company, at the mock-up location street here.

He said:

"It is the first time for me to visit the DPRK. I actually support young movie makers in Switzerland.

I received the news of the Pyongyang international film festival on the Internet and decided to present movie to this festival.

I felt welcome and great hospitality when I arrived in Pyongyang. I am grateful for the hospitality. This film festival is well organized and its program is very interesting.

I am very, seriously, impressed because I am a movie producer.

I would be very happy to have such mock-up location street supported from the government. We don't have it. This is a brilliant street for a producer."

He came to Pyongyang with a documentary "Tones of Passion".
