Speakers at the meeting called upon the south and the north of Korea to achieve reconciliation and cooperation through dialogue in order to terminate the division and realize the peace and reunification of the peninsula.

They would put forth the improvement of the relations between the south and the north of Korea, the conclusion of a peace agreement on the peninsula, the cancellation of the Jeju naval base construction, the opposition to anti-DPRK confrontation racket and crackdown under pretence of public security and the reduction of military expenditure as essential tasks for achieving peace and reunification, they said, adding they would stage actions to fulfill them.
