The organization groups 18 organizations including the bereaved families' measure committee for probing the truth behind the mysterious cases and the Jon Thae Il Foundation.

The statement recalled that on the same day Park Geun Hye, "presidential candidate" from the "Saenuri Party", made an apology for the Park Chung-Hee's May 16 military coup, the "yusin" dictatorship and the case of the People's Revolutionary Party under public pressure.

If her apology were sincere, she should have opted for restoring the committee for settling the past history for truth and reconciliation in order to probe the truth about the past history and reinstating the victims.

It lashed out at the "Grand National Party", the predecessor of the "Saenuri Party", for playing down the mandate of the committee to look into the cases and obstructing the settlement of the past crimes, and the present regime for disorganizing this body.

It urged the party to properly approach the past history.
