S. Korean Presidential Candidate Accused of Shielding Dictatorship

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The society for law on human rights of 11 universities of south Korea including Seoul National University and Yonsei University issued a joint statement, accusing the presidential candidate from the "Saenuri Party" of shielding the fascist dictatorship, according to KBS of south Korea on Sept. 24.

The statement riled Park Geun Hye for letting loose a spate of nonsense that the Supreme Court's decision of not guilty over the case of the People's Revolutionary Party fabricated during the period of Park Chung-Hee's "yusin" dictatorship should be left to history to decide.

Saying that her reckless remarks betrayed her ignorance of law, the statement noted that the society could not repress concern about her wrong understanding of history.
