The mission of these vehicles is to clear mines laid in the area along the Military Demarcation Line in contingency on the Korean Peninsula. They shipped five of them and used them during the recent Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military drills.

This type of vehicles will reportedly be deployed at the units of the U.S. forces in Tongduchon of Kyonggi Province and Waegwan of North Kyongsang Province.
