The exhibits included CNC machine tools and ultramodern electronic equipment and machinery, metal, building, chemical, medical and light industrial products, foodstuffs, daily necessities and vehicles.

Ho Pyong Chol, section chief of the Korean International Exhibition Corporation, told KCNA:

"The Pyongyang International Trade Fair is held in spring and autumn every year, and it serves as an effective lever for further promoting the economic and trade cooperation among countries.

During the recent fair, there were wide-ranging contacts and business activities between the DPRK and other countries and regions.

The fair included a briefing on investment environment of DPRK, talks on economic and technological interchange among businesses and introduction of new technological products.

Companies from different countries expressed their will to intensify cooperation on the principle of equality and mutual benefit and take part in the future fairs."

Catherine Xu, a delegate of the Knuth Machine Trading Company of Germany, said:

"This is the first time for me to attend the Pyongyang Autumn International Trade Fair. The trade fair in the DPRK is a comprehensive one while those in Southeast Asian countries are confined to the machinery and automation fields.

I want to continue participating in the Pyongyang International Trade Fair in the future."
