We, on behalf of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government and people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, extend warm congratulations and greetings to you and, through you, to the Communist Party of China and the government and people of the PRC on its 63rd anniversary

The founding of the PRC was an epochal event which brought about a fundamental turn in the carving out of the destiny of the Chinese people independently and creatively and in the historic development of China.

For the past more than six decades since new China was founded, the Chinese people have brought about world-startling changes and eye-opening development in the drive to liquidate centuries-old backwardness and build a prosperous socialist power in the vast land of China under the leadership of the CPC.

We rejoice over the laudable successes made in socialist construction with Chinese characteristics and sincerely hope the Chinese people who will greet the 18th Congress of the party will achieve steady fresh successes in the historic process of establishing a scientific outlook on development and building a harmonious society under the guidance of the CPC with Hu Jintao as its General Secretary

It is the behests of Great Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il and the invariable stand of our party and government to develop generation after generation the DPRK-China friendship, the common wealth of the peoples of the two countries.
